Registration

Registration is open to all persons interested in the Superannuation Lawyers’ Conference 2024.

All persons attending the conference must complete an online registration form. Please read the below information before you complete the form. Should you require any assistance, please contact Law Council of Australia at superconference@lawcouncil.au or by phone on +61 2 6246 3722.

Group registrations of three or more are entitled to discounted registration rates.

All rates are in Australian Dollars and include 10% goods and services tax.

Registration confirmation

Your completed registration and successful payment will be acknowledged via email with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form.

Name badge

Each delegate will receive a name badge when they arrive at the registration desk onsite. The badge will be your official pass to obtain entry to all sessions and social function/s. You are responsible for having your badge with you at all times and it must be clearly visible to obtain entry to sessions and to social function/s. The Conference Managers expect appropriate behavior from delegates and reserve the right to revoke the name badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.

Credit/debit card

Accepted credit/debit cards are Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Credit/debit card transaction fees will be paid by the registrant in addition to the above registration fees.

Other payment options

Alternative payment method is electronic fund transfer. Please choose Payment via Invoice while processing your registration. Please contact Law Council of Australia via email at superconference@lawcouncil.au or phone on 02 6246 3722 for any questions.

Cancellations must be notified in writing to superconference@lawcouncil.au.

Registration
Cancellations from Wednesday, 21 February 2024 to Wednesday, 28 February 2024 will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations on or after Thursday, 29 February 2024 will not be entitled to any refunds.

Changes in registration type:
Changes to registration type (in-person to virtual, or virtual to in-person) are permitted until Friday, 9 February 2024.

Accommodation
One night’s room rate is non-refundable as at Saturday, 10 February 2024.
100% of booking cost is non-refundable as at Sunday, 11 February 2024.

Social
Payments are non-refundable as at Monday, 12 February 2024.

The program is correct at the time of publishing. The organisers reserve the right to delete, modify or alter items from the program or to delete, modify or alter any aspect of the conference timetabling and delivery at their sole discretion and without notice. Neither the host organisation(s) nor the Conference Managers will accept any liability for any loss or inconvenience caused to any party consequent to such changes.

The Conference Managers reserve the right to use any recordings, whether audio or video and/or any photographs, taken at any stage during the conference for promotional, advertising or reporting of the conference and/or its content at their sole discretion.

Registration fees do not include insurance. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the event and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should include:

  • Loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the event or through the cancellation of the event,
  • Loss of international/domestic air fares through cancellation for any reason,
  • Loss of tour monies through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services strikes within Australia,
  • Failure to utilise tours or pre-booked arrangements due to airline delay,
  • Force Majeure or any other reason,
  • Medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover),
  • Loss or damage to personal property,
  • Additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered,
  • Medical expenses.

The organisers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.

The Host and Organiser of the Superannuation Lawyers’ Conference 2024 (the “Event”) reserve the right to remove from the venue/event at any time any attendee deemed to be causing, or potentially causing, a disturbance or exhibiting disruptive or inappropriate behaviour. Such removal does not constitute a right to refund of any fees paid.

Australia operates under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), as amended, and the Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches), 2017. The objective of these is to protect the right of the individual to privacy of their information.
